Is violin concertos by Joachim musically worth to play?

Joachim was an excellent violinist and composer, and at least in the 19th century had a similarly commanding standing as Beethoven or Brahms. Although his star has gradually faded, I think in part because he didn't produce many compositions. His second violin concerto is the most played of his works and is a piece that nearly every violinist will know.
