What kind of bird did this woman have?

When i was like.... 7? this old woman had 2 birds so pretty and colorful i wanted some now these were 7 years old and the size of a full grown mouse ( not rat a mouse the small one ) one was yellow with a white chest and the other was blue with a white chest and they looked chubby and fluffy and they made cute tweet sounds :D
